Ira H. Leesfield to receive the Judge Learned Hand Award

Ira Leesfield will be presented with the Judge Learned Hand Award for Preferred Excellence by the American Jewish Committee on February 18, 2010 in Miami, FL.

AJC Established the Judge Learned Hand Award in 1964 to recognize leaders in the legal profession for excellence and for their contributions to the community. The recipients of this award are people who embody much of what Judge Hand represented: the rights of the individual and the importance of democratic values in an orderly society.

As Chair of the Resort Torts Litigation Group, he will be participating in the group’s program “Recognizing a Resort Tort.”  The topic of his presentation is Safety of Resorts, Including Cruise Ships, Boating, Recreational Vehicles and Motorcycle/ATV’s.
