Ms. Kennedy has been instrumental in the successful resolution of many cases, including the wrongful death of a 20 year old woman who was tragically killed in a boating accident in Orlando, the wrongful death of a Miami man who was killed when a dump truck with faulty brakes crushed his vehicle at a Turnpike toll booth; and the wrongful death of a six year old boy who was killed in a boating accident in Key West; numerous medical malpractice cases involving brain damaged infants due to oxygen deprivation during labor and/or delivery; the wrongful death of a Longshoreman crushed to death while loading a container ship in Port Everglades, the crash of a Cessna aircraft due to defective engine maintenance and causing permanent brain damage, resulting in an $8 million settlement in Puerto Rico federal court; many cruise ship related injury and death cases; the a national class action involving 50,000 class members in Tennessee state court asserting a breach of contract claim for unauthorized cost of insurance increases and interest rate reductions and resulting in a $33 million settlement; a WARN Act class action in an unsettled area of law against an aircraft maintenance company on behalf of workers laid off from SabreTech’s Miami repair station in the wake of the ValuJet crash in the Florida Everglades; and many other wrongful death and personal injury cases.
